Apple Watch Series 11 requires an iPhone 11 or later with iOS 26 or later, and Apple Fitness+ features require a subscription. Health tracking features — including ECG, heart rate, sleep score, sleep apnoea detection and others — are not intended to replace professional medical diagnosis, so always follow medical guidance. Battery life varies by usage and settings. Some features require an Apple Intelligence–enabled iPhone nearby, Bluetooth headphones, and Siri set to English; Apple Intelligence is currently in beta and may not be available in all regions or languages. The ECG app works on Apple Watch Series 4 and later (except SE) for users 22 years and older, and medical advice should be sought if atrial fibrillation or symptoms of serious cardiac issues appear. Irregular rhythm notifications require the latest watchOS and iOS, are not for users under 22 or those already diagnosed with AFib, and medical consultation is advised if symptoms occur. Sleep apnoea notifications are available on Series 9 and later, Ultra 2 and later, and SE 3 for adults 18+ without prior diagnosis, though absence of notification does not rule out the condition. The Series 11 has a 50-metre water resistance rating (ISO 22810:2010) suitable for shallow swimming but not for scuba diving, waterskiing or high-velocity water exposure, and water resistance may decrease over time. Emergency SOS requires either a mobile network or Wi-Fi calling, and compatibility depends on network support, device activation and service configuration.
